  • AOI was awarded the AICHI Brand for being the number one producer of organic tencha (Matcha before grounded) in Japan. AOI is in process of acquiring USDA Organic status.

AOI Quality Control

  • Quality and safety of our product is AOI’s first priority. AOI’s tea production is thoroughly monitored and documented in every step of the process to surpass ISO9001 and ISO22000 certification standards. AOI tea is packed in a sterile, clean environment with the state of the art filtering system which clears the air at 44 times per minute. Indoor pressure, temperature and moisture are also automatically monitored on computer controlled systems. Sterilized products are examined by lot internally in the laboratory.

Traceability

  • Traceability is a key element for supply management or quality/safety control systems for Food production.
  • AOI has extensive traceability systems to track Matcha powder back to its originating tea field through each production process, such as cultivation conditions, harvest date, lot information, production information, and shipping data.
